Connects P16 and T16 pipe to the manifold The coupling is designed for Ambiente 16mm x 2mm PE-RT pipe, including AmbiFlex® P16 and TraffiPipe® T16. It provides the connection between each pipe end and the 3/4″ circuit outlets on a compatible 413 Series Stainless Steel UFH Manifold. Although AmbiFlex® M16 also measures 16mm x 2mm, its multilayer construction requires the separate M16 Manifold Coupling. Couplings should therefore be selected according to both the pipe dimensions and pipe construction. Two couplings per UFH circuit Each heating loop connects to both the flow and return bars of the manifold. Two P16/T16 couplings are therefore normally required for every pipe circuit shown on the project-specific UFH design. For example, a six-loop manifold installation using P16 or T16 pipe will normally require 12 couplings. Additional components may be useful as site spares, but the exact quantity should follow the number of loops rather than the number of rooms. Manifold installation The pipe should be cut cleanly and square before the coupling is assembled. Ensure the pipe is fully inserted and the connection is tightened securely without damaging the fitting or manifold outlet. A 16mm Open Pipe Bend can support the pipe as it rises from the floor towards the manifold. The completed system must be filled, flushed and pressure tested before the pipework is permanently concealed.
