The SpeedGun allows installers to secure UFH pipework into insulation while remaining upright, reducing repeated bending during installation. Its balanced, lightweight construction and ergonomic handle are designed to reduce fatigue during prolonged professional use. It is the dedicated staple tacker used with the AmbiTak underfloor heating system, where barbed SpeedClips retain 16mm pipework at the centres specified on the project’s UFH design. The same SpeedGun accepts both 40mm and 60mm Non-Stick SpeedClips, removing the need for separate installation tools. The correct clip length should be selected to suit the specified floor insulation and system construction. Each SpeedClip strip uses a perforated moulded-plastic connection rather than adhesive tape or paper. This keeps the clips aligned while reducing the feeding and jamming problems associated with conventional taped clip strips. A large feeding arm provides capacity for longer clip strips, while the glide weight pushes the clips towards the firing chamber. The smooth-action chamber and recoil spring then support consistent delivery as the installer progresses across the floor. A transparent access hatch makes it easy to monitor the remaining clip level and provides quick access to the SpeedClip chamber when reloading or inspecting the mechanism. The SpeedGun features robust installer-grade construction intended for repeated site use. It is supplied pre-assembled and boxed, allowing it to be loaded with the appropriate SpeedClips and used without assembling the main tool on site. UFH pipework should always be installed in accordance with the project-specific design, including the specified pipe centres, loop routes and fixing requirements.
